Preamble

Every responsible netizen has a collection of fun sites they have encountered in their time surfing the net and stealing other people's ideas for their webpage. These are mine. Please tell me if one of the links is no longer valid! That shouldn't happen, though, because I check them every year or so. :7 Here it is, in no particular order:

Language

• www.engrish.com - This site is guaranteed to make you laugh. Promise!
• www.zhongwen.com - A good launching point for Chinese language resources; plus a link to generate a Chinese name for you.
• Gallery of "misused" quotation marks - Reminds me of the "fresh" bananas I always bought at Fred Meyer.
• The Perseus Project - A fantastic website for Greek and Latin resources and translations.

Art

• Museum of Bad Art - Home of a not-for-much-profit art gallery that displays "found art," that is to say, art found in the garbage.

Satire

• http://winstars.free.fr/english/bush.html - This has a collection of not-so-favorable Bush graphics.
• X-Entertainment.com - This site is a candylike goldmine for any of us who were younguns in the 70's and 80's, and maybe even the 90's. Lots of nostalgia and memories, and hilarious insightful articles and access to videos of tacky commericals and cartoons.
• www.thebricktestament.com - Maybe it's not a satire, but the Law section is hilarious. It basically gives you the Lego version of Christianity.

Animation

• Strindberg and Helium - Strindberg reminds me a lot of Edgar Allen Poe.
• We are Robots - Something makes me doubt that the "coming soon" section will ever be completed. The same site brings you the Museum of Lego Horrors.

Games

• Orisinal.com - A huge amount of fun, pointless time-wasting games. Baums is my favorite.

Computers & Electronics

• http://www.seanbaby.com/nes/egm.htm - A review of some of the worst games ever made for the Nintendo Entertainment System. How could you go wrong with Bible Adventures or Where's Waldo?
• www.slashdot.org - I don't claim to be a nerd, but this is where I get my daily allotment.
• Avax.net is a testament to the fall of the mainframe and a tribute to any Grinnellian who lived in the day of the VAX.
• INTV Funhouse - For anybody (like me) who ever owned an Intellivision!
