7/17/02/AD -- My New Job

After a little mixup with email, I was informed that the Cambridge Bilingual School is interested in me! They're a step up from cram schools, it's near Taipei, and... and... I'm just jazzed, that's all! I have also completed the Hong Kong section (see the entry below), and I am now working on Taiwan. And by the time you see this, you should be accessing it through Spellvexit.net, my new domain. Thus ends my informational and very boring bulletin.

7/10/02/AD -- New Updates

I added quite a bit to the Hong Kong section under the Pictures link. And while I was working, a june bug caught my attention -- so I caught him and took a picture of him! June bugs are one of the coolest bugs out there; they hurtle through the air like a drunken jelly bean, have ludicriously large antennae, and make cute squeaking noises when you catch them. I once saw a poor june bug who had been captured by a cat, who was intrigued by its piteous noises as well. Taking pity, I intervened, but the cat had already gnawed on him too much to save him. I guess that's what you get for being a big, clumsy bug.

7/7/02/AD -- Smurf Stir-fry

I have sequestered myself with Grace over in Eugene, and I have been working on my webpage as well as a side project... Grace and I have been experimenting with the limited amount of reagents she possesses in her kitchen, and we stumbled upon a fantastic little recipe; the key ingredients were pork and purple cabbage, though I suspect that any light colored meat will do. A bit of oil, a bit of frying, and a bit of time to steep, and you've got thoroughly purple meat that has the flavor and consistency of a free-range smurf. Use smurfberries for a colorful (and tasty!) garnish.
